If you would like to receive updates about Coshare, upcoming events and happenings in the coworking world, we invite you to subscribe to our newsletter. We respect your privacy.
COSHARE is an association of spaces where people share workspaces, to share ideas. We will be the first organization to represent the greater shared spaces communities, particularly coworking. With that representation comes advocacy for shared spaces and education about the rapidly changing industry. COSHARE will also have value benefits for it’s members that include discounts to the national coworking conference and indirect contributions toward macro projects like the coworking wiki.

Any organization operating a space: coworking, business centers, accelerators, incubators, maker spaces, hacker spaces.

  • Education – COSHARE will host regular webinars, local and reginal workshops, and provide resources to help spaces owners operate a better business and develop stronger communities. workshops/webinars/resource sharing
  • Communication – COSHARE will host the Global Coworking UnConference and help build awareness of the exciting options that shared workspaces and communities create for businesses.
  • Support –COSHARE will contribute and support other macro initatives that will benefit the greater coworking and shared space industry. For example, the Coworking Wiki Project.
  • Collaboration between Spaces


  • Support the repeal of both DOMA and California’s Prop 8. – we kid.
  • Support any lobbying efforts that are determined (by vote) to be beneficial to all shared spaces that are concerned.
  • Getting the official spelling of coworking in the AP stylebook.
  • Educating Google on the needs of Coworking spaces (how one business address can be claimed by 200 businesses on Google Places)
  • Be the touch point for government and corporations when there is an interest in connecting to coworking spaces.


  • Best practices white papers to help spread knowledge across the COSHARE network.
  • Newsletters that will help all space owners to stay on top of new trends, highlight members, and spread knowledge.
  • Workshops: online, and offline (@GCUC, regional gatherings, LExC events)
  • Peer-2-peer sharing and mentorship

  • Industry research on the rapidly changing shared space industry.


$250 per year (max 1 membership per brand). Periodic payment plans are being considered.

A group of coworking veterans found that it was finally an appropriate time to organize and get things done.

GCUC is the current name for the annual coworking conference traditionally hosted in Austin, TX. Starting in 2014, it will be in May in Kansas City, and thereafter, possibly relocate to a different city every year.
